An Andalucian city well known worldwide for it's famous Sherry and Brandy products, and equally for it's fine Andalucian thoroughbread horses. A typical excursion to Jerez from Benalmadena would start early in the morning at around 7am, and return around 10pm. A visit to the world famous Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre is included, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays a ballet show is performed by the horses, (no cameras allowed in the auditorium). On other days you can watch the horses in training. A guided tour of the Tio Pepe Bodega is also included, and whilst here you can visit the cellars where barrels signed by famous people can be viewed. Sherry tasting follows this. The excursion includes lunch at a local restaurant. This is a very long day out, but Vernon who is a member of our forum says, " I was lucky enough to go on this trip a couple of years ago, (booked via the excellent Arman Tours), and I can confirm it was the highlight of not only that particular holiday, but probably of all my holidays to Benalmadena / Arroyo de la Miel.
